If you’re looking for something to do this Father’s Day weekend, stop by the Libertyville Days Festival. It’s the party of the year in Libertyville! Activities are scheduled 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, June 15; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 16; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 17, in downtown Libertyville. Most events are taking place at Cook Park, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Admission is free.
The theme for the 2018 festival is “Libertyville, A Beautiful Place in the Country!” This festival has been a part of Libertyville’s history for 100 years. All proceeds from the festival support the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation. This year’s festival includes music, a parade, great food, drinks and family-friendly activities.
Musical acts: Petty Kings, Woogie Boogie, Georgia are Family Band, Frank Quigley, Fletcher Rockwell, WheelHouse, School of Rock and Mellencougar.
Food & drink options: Angel’s Concessions, BBQ’D Productions, Brother’s Ribs, Domino’s Pizza, Dos Amigos, El Barrio, HSK Funnel Cakes & Ice Cream, Lee Concessions, Luke’s, Nothing Bundt Cake, Rosati’s Pizza, Something Sweet Lemonade & The Jerk Hut.
Activities: Arts & crafts fair, a beer garden, a children’s cookie bake-off, a carnival, a watermelon eating contest, a hair braiding & face painting, a baggo tournament, a hot dog eating contest, an ice cream cart, a father’s day charity car show & more!
Parade: The parade features several marching bands, clowns, horses & more. The parade this year is Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon.
